RIIMPO338E Conduct Rigid Haul Truck Operations is a nationally recognised course that provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to operate rigid haul trucks in the resources and infrastructure industries. This course is designed to ensure that workers are equipped with the necessary skills to operate rigid haul trucks safely and efficiently in various working conditions.
The course covers a range of topics, including pre-operational checks, operational techniques, load, and haul procedures, shut down and secure equipment, and hazard identification and risk management giving you the skills and knowledge required to operate, load, haul and dump materials using a rigid haul truck.
Participants will also learn about the importance of communication and teamwork in the workplace, as well as the legal and regulatory requirements for operating rigid haul trucks.
The RIIMPO338E Conduct Rigid Haul Truck Operations course is suitable for workers in the resources and infrastructure industries who are required to operate rigid haul trucks as part of their job role. This course is suitable for workers who operate rigid haul trucks in a range of working conditions, including mining, quarrying, and construction.
Upon completion of the course, participants will have gained the necessary skills and knowledge to operate rigid haul trucks safely and efficiently and will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO338E Conduct Rigid Haul Truck Operations.
A rigid haul truck is also referred to as a dump truck. Rigid haul dump trucks are used to transport large amounts of soil and hard fill on construction sites and mining operations.
This training is competency-based however is normally run over 1-2 days.
