RIIHAN301E – Operate elevating work platform is a nationally recognised training course in Australia that provides individuals with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate an elevating work platform (EWP) in a range of different settings.

Course Description

The course covers a wide range of topics including EWP types, purpose and limitations, pre-operational checks and inspections, hazard identification and risk assessment, emergency procedures, operating techniques and controls, positioning and stabilising the EWP, and shutting down and securing the EWP.

Participants in this course will gain a thorough understanding of the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as industry best practices and guidelines. They will also develop practical skills in the safe operation of different types of EWPs, including boom lifts, scissor lifts, and vertical lifts.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to operate an EWP, assess and manage associated risks, and respond appropriately to emergency situations competently and safely. This course is essential for anyone who operates an EWP or works with or around an EWP in their workplace.
