The Dual Competency course for RIIHAN203E Conduct Lifting Operations and RIIHAN305D Operate a Gantry or Overhead Crane is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to operate a gantry or overhead crane and conduct lifting operations safely and efficiently.
The course covers a range of topics, including pre-operational checks, operational techniques, load and haul procedures, shut down and secure equipment, and hazard identification and risk management. Participants will also learn about the importance of communication and teamwork in the workplace, as well as the legal and regulatory requirements for operating gantry or overhead cranes and conducting lifting operations.
The Dual Competency course is suitable for workers in the resources and infrastructure industries who are required to operate gantry or overhead cranes and conduct lifting operations as part of their job role. This course is suitable for workers who operate gantry or overhead cranes and conduct lifting operations in a range of working conditions, including mining, quarrying, and construction.
Upon completion of the Dual Competency course, participants will have gained the necessary skills and knowledge to operate gantry or overhead cranes and conduct lifting operations safely and efficiently. Participants will also receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for both RIIHAN203E Conduct Lifting Operations and RIIHAN305D Operate a Gantry or Overhead Crane.
This training is competency-based however is normally run over 1-2 days.
